A new partnership brings Placepaints and Newton & Young together

Some partnerships make immediate sense. When we first spoke with the team at Newton & Young, it became clear quickly that we were approaching interiors from the same direction, carefully, with an eye on the whole rather than the individual part.

We are delighted to announce that Placepaints and Newton & Young are working together.

Two brands, one approach

Newton & Young are an interior design company specialising in furniture packages, show home styling, and full interior design services. Their work is considered and complete — spaces that feel resolved rather than assembled. It is exactly the kind of environment our colours are made for.

Placepaints exists because we believe colour should come from somewhere. Every shade in our range is named after and inspired by a real place, a coastline, a city, a moment in light. The result is paint with a point of view, and walls that carry a little of the world with them.

Together, we share a conviction that great interiors are built through deliberate choices. Colour, material, and furniture are not separate decisions, they are a single conversation, and it only works when every element is considered in relation to the others.

What we are building together

Through this partnership, we will be collaborating on residential interior projects across the UK, bringing Placepaints colour palettes into Newton & Young-designed spaces from the earliest stages of the process. Not as an afterthought, but as a foundation.

The ambition is simple: homes that feel complete. Where the wall colour belongs to the room it is in, and the room belongs to the people who live there.

We will be sharing more from these collaborations here in the Edit.
